If you think you’re seeing double at first glance, don’t worry, we did too. That’s because Huawei’s wireless earphones are very similar to the AirPods.

When Huawei launched their latest flagship phone, the P20, they also launched what seems to the be the most expensive AirPods rip-off just yet. They are called the FreeBuds. And they come in black.

The one noticeable difference is their in-ear design with the silicone tips. According to the company, this is actually for better noise cancellation. The guys from the Verge were able to try on the FreeBuds and noted that they’re comfortable and fit well. They did not allow any listening so the quality still remains to be seen.

The FreeBuds cost $195 which is slightly cheaper than the AirPods. They also come with a carrying case that provides extra charges for the earphones. Apparently they last for 10 hours of playback on a single charge. This is double than the 5 hours than Apple’s wireless earphones offer.

Other differences include a slightly longer and flatter stem. They are also have a horizontal orientation when put away in the case (compared to Apple’s vertical ones) and you have the option to get the black coloured ones.

What do you think? Would you choose these over the AirPods?
