A new leak reveals that Sony is planning two new flagship device: the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact smartphones.  These leaked details surfaced ahead of Sony’s Mobile World Congress.

According to VentureBeat’s Evan Blass, Sony is expected to announce a new 5.7-inch device which is a follow model of last year’s XZ smartphone. This device, he said, will be the XZ2 along with XZ2 Compact model which is a bit smaller of 5.0-inch device.

The popular phone tipster claimed that Sony’s XZ2 and XZ2 Compact smartphones will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor. The phone will be running with Google’s Android Oreo mobile operating system.

And here’s the good news: Sony users might avail the XZ’s Premium offering a 19-megapixel, f/1.8 camera. Included also is the phone’s rear fingerprint sensor, a departure of the usual button-based sensors.

What’s the difference between XZ2 and XZ2 Compact phones?

Many are asking as to the difference between XZ2 and XZ2 Compact smartphones. But the obvious reason would be the size. Regarding the physical design, XZ2 offers glass on both sides. It also supports wireless charging plus the usual USB-C. Meanwhile, the XZ2 Compact phone features a polycarbonate case back but without support for wireless charging.

Moreover, the XZ2 model will also have a new feature which it adds a haptic feedback to audio, among others.
