One of our predictions this 2018 is the in-display fingerprint scanner for smart phones. Well, they might read that article. Say hello to Vivo X20 Plus UD! It has a built-in, onscreen fingerprint sensor and that was certified by Tenaa In China. The company produced the very first smart phone that doesn’t have a key for the fingerprint sensor but it was said that it will be inside the screen itself! Amazing right? It’s like in those sci-fi movies. Technology is really unpredictable!

The company announced it on CES 2018. The physical appearance might be similar to the Vivo X20 Plus but we sure that there will be a lot of changes in this handset.

Speaking of changes, the specs of Vivo X20 Plus UD have 6.43 -inch OLED display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. The smart phone will be powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor and it features 4GB RAM.

Now let’s proceed to the important feature which is the camera. The Vivo X20 Plus UD will sport a dual back camera with a 12 and 5-megapixel lens and on the front, they will feature a 12-megapixel lens. That’s a great camera for all your selfies!

When it comes to the battery, it will feature a 3,800mAh battery and the internal storage would be up to 128GB and with a support for expansion of 256 GB. It will also have a 4G Internet, USB support and a Bluetooth.

And for the appearance, the handset’s dimensions are said to be 165.2×80.02×7.35mm and its weight is 183.1 gram. The colors will be Black Gold, Champagne Gold, Rose Gold, and Matte Black.

The new development were revealed after the Chinese company announced its partnership with Synaptics to create its in-display fingerprint scanning technology called Clear ID. Wherein the in-display fingerprint sensors will be between the glass protection and OLED panel. According to them, it’s very secure unlike the old fingerprint scanner and as fast as the 3D facial recognition of Apple’s iPhone.

It is also said that there will be an estimated 70 million units available this year.
