These past few days, it was reported that the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Xiaomi Mi A1 was suspended. To our delight, Xiaomi will resume the update of the OS and deliver their promise to the consumers.

Xiaomi launched the Mi A1 back in August 2017 with an Android 7.1 Nougat OS. The company promised to give an update to Android 8 Oreo by the end of the year. Actually, the company didn’t broke their promise and released the software update on the 31st of December.

But Xiaomi had to stop giving the consumers the software update to Android 8 Oreo because a lot of users we’re complaining about some issues regarding its performance. Some complained about issues pertaining to an unresponsive and crashing of the camera and the dialer app. Also the battery drained faster when the Bluetooth is turned on. And lastly, the ambient light sensor and recent app button were very unresponsive.

The Xiaomi Company now pushes the releasing of the new update for the Mi A1. The update will fix all the bugs that were reported and to better the performance speed of the handset.

Android 8.0

People who have downloaded the previous version will only only cost 89MB out of their remaining storage while for those who are still in Android 7.1 Nougat, then that would be 1112MB update.

People were expecting to have the update much later this year but Xiaomi’s update took a lot less time for them to release and fix the problems and we do hope that this will not be suspended anymore.

The Xiaomi Mi A1 features a 12MP with a wide-angle lens and with an f/2.2 aperture. While the other one is a 12MP telephoto lens with an f/2.6 aperture. While the front camera has a 5MP lens.

While this update may still not yet available but we anticipate this big announcement from Xiaomi in the next few days.
