Samsung devices requested to be bannedAfter a US court decided to hand a verdict that is in favor of Apple, the company has upped the ante once again.

Adding insult to injury, Apple seeks to ban the sales of eight Samsung devices in the US.

According to reports, Apple seeks the banning of Galaxy S 4G, Galaxy S2 (AT&T, Skyrocket and T-Mobile), Galaxy S2 Epic 4G, Galaxy S Showcase, Droid Charge and Galaxy Prevail.

Last week, a nine member jury awarded Apple a court victory and ordered Samsung to pay $1.049 billion for infringing on Apple’s patents.

During the course of the trial, Apple said that Samsung copied their technology in 28 of their devices. The nine they are seeking to ban are the only ones that are being sold in US.

CNET said that the damages that are tied together with the 8 devices are about $460.8 million.

The 8 devices have been found to violate Apple’s utility patent, design patent or have been found to infringe multiple patents.

But this request by the company has to be approved by a US court before any sales ban can be done.

A few months ago, Samsung has requested to a US District Judge to life the pre-trial ban of the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
