Recently a new book came out which discusses how teenagers are getting the wrong types of messages from games, and they are having an effect on the way that children grow up and communicate. This can also be said for social networking sites. Good, bad, or otherwise it is still having a great effect that you may not be aware of.
In the article it mentioned about gaming becoming a drug of sorts for not only the players, but also for the game developers. Multimedia is constantly pulling our attention away from something to entertain us, and while that may be beneficial in some cases, it could also deter us from making the best use of our time.
What are your thoughts regarding this?
