It’s day for celebration for the search giant’s Android Market! Google’s platform has reached its 10-billion mark download, the company announced in the company’s blog post.

“This past weekend, thanks to Android users around the world, Android Market exceeded 10 billion app downloads — with a growth rate of one billion app downloads per month,” Eric Chu, Google’s director of the Android Developer Ecosystem Eric Chu wrote.

To celebrate this landmark, Google is giving out ten apps for ten cents per day.

For Tuesday, the apps on sale were Soundhound Infinity, Swiftkey X, Endomondo Sports Tracker Pro, Fieldrunners HD, Asphalt 6 HD, Color & Draw for Kinds, Paper Camera and Sketchbook Mobile.

Considering the same year of launching for both Android Market and Apple’s App Store, the latter however is still leading in terms of downloads. The Cupertino-based company has announced last July that they have passed 15 billion downloads.
