Tablets have been proliferating nowadays. Manufacturers have stepped up their production of these sweet gadgets to the point that prices have begun to drop from previous highs to new lows.
Seeing that tablets are now intertwined with the lives of people, toy shop Toys R US announced that they will be launching their own brand of tablets specifically built for kids.
Called “tabeo”, this Toys R US tablet will be available in their stores beginning October 21 and will be retailed at $150.
This seven inch tablet will feature WiFi capabilities and will run on Android. It will come with 50 preinstalled apps that your children can play and learn from.
According to Toys R US vice president Troy Peterson, “Over the past year, we’ve spent considerable time talking to parents and children to determine what features and functions they really want in a kids’ tablet, resulting in tabeo.”
“We are proud that tabeo offers robust and flexible parental controls that can help protect children as they surf the Internet, and we are pleased to offer the tabeo App Store, which features only kid-safe content carefully curated by the Toys R US team,” he added.
