Bad news for Apple owners who love to watch videos from Google’s video sharing site YouTube, as Apple’s latest operating system, iOS 6, won’t be having YouTube as one of their default apps on their devices.

According to 9to5Mac, they noticed that the YouTube app was nowhere to be found on the beta version of iOS6.

According to Apple, the absence of YouTube from the iOS 6 is due to the fact that their license to carry the app has already expired. Apple has also removed Google Maps from the iOS 6. Replacing the latter is Apple’s own Maps.

Apple said in a statement, “license to include the YouTube app in iOS has ended, customer can use YouTube in the Safari browser and Google is working on a new YouTube app to be on the App Store.”

This is also good news for some sort to YouTube addicts of Apple, as Google will be developing their very own app that can be downloaded through the App Store.

This will hopefully alter Apple’s owners YouTube experience as this could result to a better tailored app for the iOS 6.

The YouTube app that is currently installed in older versions of the Apple OS will still remain and can still be used.
