So how many videos are really there in YouTube’s archive?

YouTube has been in the business for seven years now. And in those seven years, it has grown into a gargantuan video sharing site that nobody expected when they unveiled it.

YouTube can’t say how many videos are in their website. But the team said, “Today, 72 hours of video are uploaded to the site every minute. Like many sever year olds around the world, we’re growing up so fast! In other words, every single minute you now upload three whole days worth of video, instead of two. That’s 61 Royal Wedding Ceremonies, 841 Bad Romances, and 1,194 Nyan Cats.”

A year ago, YouTube set a record when they were recorded to have been uploading 48 hours of video every minute.

The video sharing site started sharing videos in 2005 and was acquired by Google, Inc. back in 2006.

YouTube has evolved into something that is personal. The site now features millions of personal channels that are created by filmmakers, home videos, DIYs, tutorials and many more.

The YouTube team added, “And all the 800 million of you all over the world have shown us we’re on the right track by increasing subscriptions 50% and watching over 3 billion hours a month.”
